Dear ones,

We at Margie Holds Court have been crazy busy!!!

This weekend, as a part of our restructuring of Margie’s Gurus, we are offering the first of our bimonthly Margie’s Masterclass sessions: Saturday, April 6, 9:00-10:00 PDT. The topic is The Series. Commas? Maybe a semicolon? Does a dash ever work?

These sessions will be offered bimonthly and are one hour in length and will earn .1 CEU with successfully passing a short quiz. It is a part of the $10 monthly subscription to Margie’s Gurus, which also includes daily answers to your questions, a monthly Workshop, and a discount on all products. Sign up now, and join us on Saturday.

We just finished a three-hour class on Parentheticals and Introductory Elements. If you missed it, the replay will be available for purchase soon for your listening pleasure – and .3 CEUs. Next up on the schedule is two hours of fun and games – sentence diagramming – just enough to whet your appetite. Put it on your schedule: May 18, 9:00-11:00 PDT. Details to follow.

And we have a special surprise: Our new website is going live!!! Check out our all-new look this weekend at margieholdscourt.com.

Masterclass 1: The Series

This session will cover punctuating the series: when to use a comma, when to use a semicolon, and the times when a dash may be necessary. We will look at the standard rules and explore how to handle the not-so-standard patterns. Time permitting, we will practice on sample sentences.

As a fan of cool weather and nothing over 70, I am not looking forward to the heat.I know/hope you have been wondering why you have not heard from me about the classes I mentioned in the February newsletter. It is not great news: I had a very bad fall in the middle of March – concussion, broken nose, stitches in my lip, sprained knee, and other assorted bruises and tweaks. Life has been and continues to be a series of doctor...

MARGIE WAKEMAN WELLS AUTHOR & COACH December 2024 Dear ones, I am not sure where this year has gone, but a few more wake-ups will find us in 2025. Remember when we were all worried about Y2K? He came through with flying colors, and for an almost-92 guy, that is the best reason I can think of to be thankful. Margie Holds Court is celebrating the...
