✏️ More Sentence Diagramming This Weekend

Reader,

Sentence Diagramming II, the sequel, is this Saturday at 9:00 AM PDT. If you took the first class OR if you know the very basic rudiments of diagramming—subject and verb, simple modifiers, direct objects—join us this Saturday for a look at diagramming compound construction, verbals, and dependent clauses. [As I write this, I am puzzling over how I am going to fit these drawings on a PowerPoint slide!]

As a member of this elite group of people who know how to diagram sentences—certainly a lost art—you will be designing drawings worthy of a special place on the refrigerator. Have all this fun and earn .2 CEUs in the process.

The class will be conducted via Zoom, and everyone will be creating diagrams.

Class details: Saturday, July 27, 9:00 to 11:00 AM PDT, $49.

Click here to sign up. Registration closes at 9:00 PM PDT on Friday.

Happy punctuating!

January 2026 This is personal… As I sit to write this first newsletter of the new year and as I turn 84 in a few months, I am reflecting on my good fortune—my blessings, if you will. I am feeling… THANKFUL for my dear husband, who is soon to be 93 years old. His macular degeneration is worsening though the injections are helping. He is pretty spry for an “old” guy. And he is the same dear man that I married coming up on 30 years ago. BLESSED to have my two sons, a brand-new daughter-in-law,...

July 2025 Dear ones, July 4 is here with summer in full swing. And the reason I mention July 4 is that, while you are celebrating with barbecue and burgers and dogs and fireworks, you need to know that there is another reason you are celebrating: Bill and I have been married 29 years on the Fourth of July. See how sneaky I was in choosing that date: He could never really forget; we would never have to work; and the whole country joins us for the celebration every year. So Margie Holds Court...

May 2025 Dear ones, And just like that, summer is almost upon us. As a fan of cool weather and nothing over 70, I am not looking forward to the heat.I know/hope you have been wondering why you have not heard from me about the classes I mentioned in the February newsletter. It is not great news: I had a very bad fall in the middle of March – concussion, broken nose, stitches in my lip, sprained knee, and other assorted bruises and tweaks. Life has been and continues to be a series of doctor...
